And before I go any further, let me tell you that I used to be VERY resistant to this work. So if thatβs how youβre feeling too, I can completely relate.

My backstory?
I used believe I had no passions, nothing i cared about- and addicted to being the busiest person you ever met.
At 27, I started therapy and was prescribed yoga and meditation to help reconnect to my body and self. Simple, right?
Only it wasnβt. I was so used to trying so hard at everything, it was fucking chaos for the first few years to learn to let go of efforting. It does not work for healing.
I was so focused on trying to βbe the bestβ, I didnβt know my arm from my leg or my left from my right. Watching others in class had me so caught up in what I had I felt I had to do, when really I needed to learn to stay with myself and let what others are doing go.
I donβt know what it was but something kept me showing up. There was a part who knew this was the path for me. One day, my therapist asked me to give up weight training. My first reaction? Are you high?. My secondary reaction? βSheβs trying to make me fat.β
But she planted a seed and a few months later, I decided to stop all high intensity workouts. For around 6-9 months I practised yoga and walked. A complete 360 from the woman who trained 6 days a week and pushed herself to her absolute limit every time as a way to regulate her emotions and escape herself.

Next step? I learned to meditate with my therapist using the Headspace app - a huge feat in itself considering I found it hard to sit still even for a minute. When learning to mediate, I was trying too hard to meditate, I forgot to breathe. I was unconsciously holding my breath, making myself feel dizzy.
I decided to train as a yoga therapist and breathwork coach to help people similar to me, who really want change in their lives. I work with you on healing your inner child, because you are all the different versions of you, you have been, and often we can be struggling in life when an old part of us is asking to be healed.
My approach is through love and compassionate inquiry.
Inviting clients to invite in more softness, gentleness, tenderness.
It is profoundly healing.
When it comes to healing, breathwork, and your body, the more you demand of it, the more closes down. Itβs sorta like dating, too much questioning, expectation just ruins it. Curiosity, being open, accepting what you find as you find it is key.
The best thing you can do is slow down. If life feels too fast, you moving fast makes it feel faster, slow down, and notice what happens.

Why me?
I have a gift for the work that I do, in truly seeing you, which makes me great at my job. I also know that I donβt have the answers, you do.
We work together to find them, to heal you, to free you.
Also my lived experience of various traumas including deaths and that I grew up in a ceasefire, lived experience makes great teachers.

Change is really hard. Healing is hard. Shedding old skin is uncomfortable but itβs the medicine you seek.
Your unfolding is needed. For you to connect to your ability to heal and your power is needed. It helps those around you do the same.

For a long time I was so ashamed of who I was. My aspiration is to be unashamedly me and help others do the same. To embrace the vulnerability that this brings and the oceans of creativity.
Connection
All that matters in the end, is how deeply connected we are in relationships, which can only happen if we are deeply connected to ourselves, which includes body and breath.
