Ocean Breathwork - to bring all your attention and awareness inwards

Ocean breathwork is through slow, open mouth breathing, with no pause between exhale and inhale.

It is the feminine form of breathwork.

By bringing conscious awareness to the breath, we give more energy to our bodies innate ability to heal and restore. This is a powerful practice to transmute stress, anxiety and grief. It also connects you to the wisdom of you body bringing clarity to who you are, your passions and desires.

“to heal
you have to
get to the root
of the wound
and kiss it all the way up”

Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers

What is Ocean Connected Breath?

Ocean Connected breathwork is slow open mouth connected breathing, with no pause between exhale and inhale, just like ocean waves.

You do this style of breathwork while lying down with eyes closed to bring all your attention and awareness inwards.

You are asked to focus al your attention on your breath and allow the feel of sensations to arise through the 30 minutes.

This is done to a playlist of music that Carla has chosen to take you on a journey.

“Is mouth breathing bad for me?”

Mouth breathing has a very bad rep as when we mouth breathe unconsciously most of the time it is detrimental to our health. However if you are closing to consciously mouth breathe for a very short period of time it is profoundly healing for you health.

Examples of how powerful mouth breathing is:

-We enter this world on an inhale through the mouth and exit on an exhale through the mouth.

-Women bring new babies into this world through mouth breathing.

-We orgasm through mouth breathing.

By giving the breath more attention, we therefore give it more energy ( where attention goes, energy flows). This means we give more energy to our bodies' innate ability to heal and restore. This is a powerful practice to transmute emotions, especially stress, anxiety and grief.
